While the Levante of Almeria will shortly have six premium golf courses, Cortijo Grande in Turre, is without doubt a classic, being the first to be constructed back in 1976. Although small, this 9-hole course is set in the pretty olive, lemon and orange groves of Cortijo Grande in Turre. It is a par 72 course and a little more than 5,500 metres in length.
Although relatively small in size the club provides plenty of the services one would expect to see on a larger course, including a bar and restaurant, a practise course, handcarts and practice balls.
There are a number of accommodation complexes to choose from, all within easy reach of the course and most with stunning views to the mountains and the sea. The course is soon to be extended to eighteen holes with an exclusive boutique, hotel and pro shop.
